Our Constancii vineyard is truly a special place as it is the only Sonoma County vineyard on Diamond Mountain. When we developed the ranch in 1998, US Fish and Wildlife found an endangered and protected thistle (periwinkle in color) on our nearby vernal pool. The thistle was called, serendipitously, Constancii. Rooted in voluptuous volcanic soils at over 2000 feet, surrounded by fir trees and a thick forest this Northern Sonoma vineyard overlooks the Napa and Knight’s valleys. Our Syrah grapes planted here benefit from mineral-rich soil, are sheltered from strong mountaintop winds and receive optimal sun exposure producing two of the most beautiful Syrahs in the Napa Valley. We invite you to claim your allocation of these limited wines today.
This bold, fruit driven Syrah exhibits aromas of black olive, clover and bacon fat. Dark fruit with hints of fennel and an earthy complexity provide the flavor structure for this bright, balanced wine. Intriguing with savory notes and a lengthy finish this wine keeps you coming back for more. Enjoy now or over the next several years.
Aromatic notes of white flowers, cedar and tobacco greet you as the complex layers of this wine begin to unfold. Reminiscent of an Old-World Syrah, the Queen of Diamonds exhibits flavors of tapenade, molasses, fennel, and bacon fat. With red fruits and earthy undertones this wine can be enjoyed with rich sauces or smoked meats and will benefit from decanting prior to serving. Enjoy now or over the next several years.
